International Visualization Consortium Session: BoF-01 Event Type: BOF Time: 5:15pm - 6:45pm Speaker(s): Gary Bertoline, Ph.D., Steve Dunlop Location: 6A Abstract: International Visualization Consortium The International Visualization Consortium is dedicated to the advancement of scientific visualization through regular communication between researchers and centers, timely sharing of information, project collaboration, and the general promotion of visualization as a valuable means of discovering new knowledge and adding value to society. This year’s Bird of a Feather provides a forum to discuss ongoing efforts of the Consortium, including meeting schedule, education events, and potential collaboration. With over 125 members (in the first year alone) from the international visualization community, the Consortium provides a common portal for a wide range of visualization activities. Members from the international community will be participating in this year's event. Please plan on attending and learning about the new technology, the relations between visualization and HPC, and the Consortium’s ongoing visualization efforts.
