SC|05 marks the first opportunity to "attend" SC from your desktop or local Access Grid(™) node. This initiative, known as SC Desktop, provides streams of the Plenary, Masterworks and Technical Program via client software based on Access Grid technology. Delegates unable to be in Seattle can attend SC|05 in this virtual manner and will be able to see the presentations and ask questions via web-based question management software. Virtual attendance for either a desktop or conference room "node" is offered for a reduced registration fee.

Registration for SC Desktop includes:

  • A limited license for the inSORS client software from the time of registration through the conference (www.insors.com)
  • Training in the use of the inSORS software with multi-site tests to identify and troubleshoot potential network issues
  • Access to:
    • Plenary Talks
    • Seymour Cray Computer Science and Engineering Award and Sidney Fernbach Memorial Award Talks
    • 2 Technical paper tracks
    • 1 Masterwork track
    • 1 Exhibitor Forum track
Please note that SC reserves the right to determine which presentations are to be included in SC Desktop.

For those utilizing the AG Toolkit client software, a helpdesk has been set up and training is available. Additional information on the AG Toolkit can be found at: www.accessgrid.org and http://agcentral.org.
