Graduate School Panel: Panel members include representatives
from ASC Tier I graduate schools, local
and regional graduate schools, fellowship/scholarship
reps, and other graduate students. Topics
range from how to apply to graduate school,
letters of recommendation, how to apply
for a fellowship, how to get financial aid,
and how to find a mentor.
Young Researcher Panel: graduate students, post-docs, and recent
faculty are invited to present their research
and discuss how they entered grad school,
identified an advisor and project, and offer
recommendations. ASC Tier I schools, fellows
from the Computational Science Graduate
Fellowship Program, Hertz Foundation, National
Physical Sciences Consortium, GEM, and local
schools will serve as presenters.
Career Fair: Industry
and academia are invited to host a table
at the Career Fair to showcase exciting
opportunities, recruit, interview, and hire.
Students are encouraged to present their
resumes, and to focus on what educational
assets are required for the career of their
choice.
