Seattle, WA — September 12, 2005 — Registration is now open for the SC|05, the premier international conference on high performance computing, networking and storage, which will convene at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle Nov. 12-18.

Under this year's theme "Gateway to Discovery," SC|05 will showcase high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis innovations that propel advances in scientific research, technology, education and commerce. The keynote address this year will be delivered by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, chairman and chief software architect.

This year's conference will feature technical programs offering a view of a broad range of innovations, ideas and expertise in high performance computing, including: World-class speakers from government and industry; a selection of 27 tutorials, 62 papers 9 workshops and 5 panels and unparalleled Masterworks sessions.

Also featured at SC|05:
  • SC|05 initiatives HPC Analytics and StorCloud will push the boundaries of high performance storage, analytics and networking applications.
  • Challenge competition will include HPC Analytics, StorCloud, HPC Bandwidth and, new this year, the first ever combined Tri-Challenge.
  • An Education Program that will engage undergraduate faculty and K-12 teachers in four days of hands-on workshops to learn about high performance computing and communications tools and resources appropriate for their classroom.
